Ronda Spires, CPA, MBA
Ronda Spires has over twenty eight years of experience as a Certified Public Accountant working in public accounting and industry; including seventeen years with the international accounting firms of Deloitte and Ernst & Young (EY).
Upon graduation from college, Ronda accepted a position with the accounting firm, Deloitte, where she worked for five years before leaving public accounting. Ronda spent the next year as Assistant Tax Manager for a local Orange County residential and commercial real estate developer. Returning once again to public accounting, Ronda joined Greg in the formation of Tolleson & Associates before spending twelve years with the global accounting firm of Ernst & Young (EY). As a Senior Manager at EY, Ronda was responsible for providing all tax services (US, state, local, and international) to her clients. In January 2013, she joined Bryars Tolleson Spires + Whitton as a partner.
During her tenure with EY, Ronda served in the areas of Personal Financial Services specializing in high-net-worth individuals, executive groups and private family offices. In addition, during her time with both Deloitte and EY Ronda practiced in both Business and Partnership tax compliance. This gives her a unique ability to serve high-net-worth clients and entrepreneurs as she can consider the whole transaction, both the business and personal aspects.
Ronda’s experience includes tax consulting and compliance for large and middle market closely-held companies, their owners and other high net worth individuals. She also has experience in managing and coordinating individual and fiduciary income tax planning and compliance for her clients.
While at EY, and in addition to providing tax services to her clients, Ronda taught internal EY tax technical education trainings at both local, regional and international levels. She taught new tax staff and seniors the fundamentals of corporate, state and partnership taxation as well as the skills for using tax technical tools. While in Bengaluru Karnataka India, she taught advanced skills for tax seniors, state and local taxation and international tax to both staff and seniors.
Ronda earned a Bachelors of Science degree from the University of California and a Masters of Taxation of the University of Southern California.
